Imagine you're playing the game, and then--
 
Now let's pretend not to attack while sprinting. You pass by somebody and you begin combating. You begin sprinting trying to get around him, you do and you stop sprinting and attack. Now because they can't just sprint circles and attack, block is really useful, while blocking them as they wanna attack you and you can tell what is going on. Now, you can indeed see the person attacking you and you both begin to melee one another or one of you backs away and sprints for some seconds and starts using your bow or magic to hit them from a far then once they start sprinting up you can pull your melee weapon out before they get to you, or they can block your spells and archery knowing that you have distance.
 
It's a great deal of tactics to PvP and doesn't just end up being a melee sprintfest. This throughout changes the game and it's only for the better. Above is my personal opinion, come up with your views if you have some better advice or correct info I have written down above.
